Upon receipt of your complaint, it will be processed and assigned to an Investigator who will review it to determine if a violation of the law has occurred. If there is an apparent law violation, the complaint (if complete) will be served upon the business with a request for a written response. Once all the information is received and reviewed by the investigator, the investigation is concluded and a resolution or closure of the complaint is pursued by the agency. Complaint investigations are conducted on a first in, first out basis, as promptly as possible.

By law, all complaints must be put in writing. The division also request copies of all supporting documentation (e.g. proof of payment, agreements/contracts, etc.) with each complaint received.
